THe Intrigue of Twilight

so is everyone absolutely addicted to "Twilight"? I finished it and was a mess until I did!! All I could think about was sneaking in a few more minutes to see what was going to happen next! Here is what I am curious about... I can't specifically put my finger on what is so intriguing, what kept me YEARNING to read the next page. What would you guys say... what is it about the book that addicts us?

Preface: Yes or No

Ok, so I am finally starting "To Destroy You is No Loss" (and yes I am aware that this was last month's book, but I read August's book first)....and I got through about... ohhh.. 5 pages of the preface and I could not tell you one thing I read. I felt like I was reading a school history book. So here is my dilemna...I hear the actual book is a good read, so do I skip over the preface and just start? I usually am anti skipping through parts of books but I fear I will never get through this forever long history lesson (and I already graduated college, so if I don't want to read a history book I don't have to...don't judge me!). For those of you who are on the ball and have already finished this book, please give me some insight. If the preface is necessary, your argument better be pretty compelling.

Welcome, Welcome!

Well, it looks as if we are taking book club to even higher heights! Imagine that! So, like Rachel explained, this is a great board to post any feelings about literature in general. Whether it be a book we as a club are currently reading, or something you are doing on your own, this is a great opportunity to share with others your thoughts, feelings, etc. and get a response and feedback. So often we forget questions or insights we had by the time book club rolls around, but now we can share everything in "real time" if so desired! Happy reading and happy blogging!

Any questions about how to do the blog, feel free to ask!
