Angel With Crooked Feet

You must read this book you guys. When I read the description I thought there would be nothing I could relate to and this would be a downer but would still be interesting. Without getting too personal, I was so touched by so many things in this book, and did relate to many things it astonished me. Irregardless of our trials, I think there are so many emotions that are so common to us all, it's amazing. I can't wait to purchase it and refer to alot of the things towards the end again and again. It's hard to find, but so worth it. I can't wait until book club!

Rich Dad, Poor Dad + Harry Potter info.

Hi all! I know we didn't chat much on here about Mr. Potter but I think we did SO well chatting on book club night there wasn't too much left to say. Although I could chat Potter for centuries! Quick FYI; there is an incredibly fascinating book called "Finding God in Harry Potter" by John Granger (no relation to Hermione) hee hee. I thought it would just be a quick, frivolous read but it is truly amazing! I lent the audio book to Rachel and she really likes it so let me know if any of you would like to borrow it as well. It takes about 4 hours to listen to. Anyhoo, I was wondering if anyone has "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" they wouldn't mind loaning to me? I'm running around walking pups all day so I don't mind swinging by to pick it up or I will be at mutual on Wednesday night as well. Thanks!

more on Twilight series

Do we really need to keep going on and on about this? Probably not, but if we are thinking about it anyway, why not?

I recently discovered, to my great pleasure, that a good friend of mine in Idaho is also obsessed with these books. Here's what she had to say about it:

"Twilight...Oh, don't even get me started. Ok, never mind, do! It's a drug! How did she do it? I want to write a book like that. I mean, I've read books that you can't put down--Harry Potter, for instance--but I would never call them addicting. I loved it, but to be honest (and maybe this is something you talked about in your book group) I found it downright dangerous. It's all I wanted to do--read that book. No, be in that book. Be part of that book. I couldn't put it down. I wouldn't put it down. Everything real suffered around me, but it didn't matter, because I was with Edward Cullen in Stephanie Meyer's cruel little fantasy vampire land. And, yet, I'll definitely go back for more!"

She summed it up so perfectly for me and how I felt about it! I just had to share it in case anyone else felt like we hadn't exactly figured it out yet.

Posting Pictures

Ok. Posting pictures is really easy. Got click on the new post link and when you are in the "post" section you will notice a bunch of icons at the top of the page. Click on the one that looks like mountains w/ sky in the background. It is right next to the check spelling icon. When you click on the picture icon a little pop-up shows up. Under the heading Add an image from your computer there is a browse button. When you click on it you can search your computer for the image. It is probably easiest if you have the picture saved to your desktop, or somewhere else easy to look. Once you open it you just need to select the size you want it to be, and the location on the page. Once that is done click the Upload Image botton. You image will then load. If it has done it correctly then your image should appear in the pop-up box. Just click done. And then the image is automatically in your post.

Hope that was helpful.

We met Stephenie Meyer today!

Hi all! Carrie & I had a great morning in Pasadena! We put on our "I love Edward Cullen" tees and drove to Vromans bookstore in Pasadena to meet the fabulous Stephenie Meyer! She did a 1/2 hour Q&A with the crowd outside which was fun. Carrie & I were right up front and we both got to ask her a question so that was great! Then we lined up for the book signing and snapped a couple pics before it was our turn to get ours signed. They wouldn't allow posed photos with her because it would be too time consuming :( We didn't get rushed through the line though because I had bought her this funny card and I showed it to her and she really liked it and laughed and then showed it to her sister (I think it was her sister) It was a particularly appropriate card because it showed a bunch of animals in the library reading books on how to fight their natural instincts and such so I thought of Edward & Jacob in the library on a Saturday learning how to control their impulses..........I know, I'm silly, but she thought it was funny too. Anyhoo, we told her how much we LOVE the books and said congrats on all of her success and she was really grateful and nice. Oh, and she liked our Edward shirts too! Interesting observation though...alot of the younger girls that were there seemed to be on "Team Jacob". Hmmmm...
